Yuan Dynasty
1279-1368 A.D

The capital of the Yuan Dynasty was Beijing.The first emperor of the Yuan Dynasty was Kublai Khan who was one of the grandsons of Genghis Khan. The Yuan Dynasty was the biggest part of Mongol Empire.
The Mongol rulers still kept Chinese in lower level of govement, because they did not know how to controlled a big empire. But they did not want the Chinese fight against them again. This was a good idea, the Yuan Dynasty stayed stable and safe. Kublai Khan was an able leader, he restored the Grand Camal and extended it. He made Grand Canal became a good trading way in the Yuan Dynasty.
Foreign trade increased under Kublai Khan. This was largely duo to the Mongol Peace. Traders transported Chinese silk and pocelain, which were greately valued in Europe and West Asia. over the silk Roads and other routes. Traders also carried with them the Chinese printing, gunpowder, the compass, paper currency and playing cards.
Marco Polo was a fampous European who visited to China. He learned a lot of Chinese culture during his visit of China like how to made noodles and coal.
The Mongol people tried to conquered Japan twice, but they failed. The reason of that was the storm in the sea when they were on the way to Japan.
Finally, the Yuan fell because they lost their nomadic skill. Also, They failed to conquered Japan and South-east Asia. But, during they founght a war with Japan and South-east Asia, they needed asked high taxes from people. This made people angry.
